Abstract

Objective To study clinical significance of the expression of c-erbB-2 and pS2 in breast cancer tissues and their correlation analysis. Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used to analyze the expression of c-erbB-2 and pS2 in 79 cases of breast cancers. Results Positive expression rates of c-erbB-2 and pS2 in 79 cases of breast cancers were 54.4%and 59.5%.The expression of c-erbB-2 was correlated with lymph node metastasis, the histological grades, and the TNM stage. The expression of pS2 was correlated with age and menopause status. The positive expression rate of c-erbB-2 was significantly higher in pS2 positive groups than in pS2 negative groups. Conclusions Combined detection of expressions of c-erbB-2 and pS2 in breast carcinoma has practical value in the evaluation of prognosis and therapeutic effects of breast cancer patients.
